LMS Exec PTO Agenda

                May 7th, 2026

1. Approval of Minutes
1. March minutes approved

1.  Principal's Update
1. Teacher appreciation week is going great!
2. Staff spirit week is also going on, with days like “Anything but a Cup” and “Royalty Day”.
3. There are administrative changes/appointments going on with our feeder schools. 
4. There are a lot of changes from the budget shortfall that are directly impacting LMS teachers and staff. 
5. 8^th grade farewell is in two weeks. 
6. We have two retirements, Mrs. Parker and Mrs. Terrill. Between the 2 of them, they have 80 years of service across them. 
7. The district approved the process to update the LMS logo, will use PTO funds / be part of the 8^th grade class gift. 
8. Key Dates:
1. August 6 – Eagle Nesting Day, 6^th grade is AM, 7/8^th grade is afternoon
2. August 7 – Staff Return
3. August 12 – Orientation (6^th grade/new students)
4. August 13 – First of school, back to school night
5. Sept 10 – Eaglefest
6. Oct 8 - Feeder School football game

1. President's Report - Anne
1. Approved the district to allow credit card payment for PTO on their site
2. Informed 6^th and 7^th grade teaches we are able to provide $400 per grade for end of year celebration. Jennifer got checks to bookkeeper (Harrelson and Stetina are contacts)
3. We decided to no longer use the domain for the toolkit, we use QR codes so this is not needed.
4. Approve Slate

1. Page 1 – Update #4 to $15,000 for reserve funds (currently $3K).
2. Page 2 – Removing Family Ambassador role, Parent Social, Add Student Activities – goal is one activity as quarter and fund end of year parties for 6^th and 7^th grade and provide prizes at end of semester assemblies.

1. AIM Insurance – The district says our insurance form is not correct, Jennifer is working to get this updated.

1. Review and Approve Budget
1. We are making adjustments to acquisitions to get the budget balanced and we can take from reserves if something is needed by the school.
2. Jennifer is making the requested adjustments to the budget and will resend back for approval. 
3. Kandi will ask principals if a classroom set up donation would be helpful to his team.  We will adjust budget/reserves accordingly.
4. We are adding Quick Books and accounting support this year.

2. If PTO wants to continue to purchase t-shirts, we will need to do a bulk order (last year’s lasted 3 years)
3. The committee has some extra budget that could be contributed to additional funds to the logo.  We are fine if they use those funds to help the logo, they can work with our Treasurer to write a check to the school.

1. Staff Appreciation – IT’S STAFF APPRECIATION WEEK!
1. Monday the 4th— Popcorn donated from Topsy’s and donated Electrolyte drink mixes, donated water from Price Chopper.  “Popping up with appreciation”
2. Tuesday the 5th— lunch from Cactus Grill and donated cookies from McClains (Cinco de Mayo)
3. Wednesday the 6th— Breakfast supplied by another group. Lemon bars from Dolce and lemonade and other treats that afternoon. “Sunsational”
4. Thursday the 7th— Goodcents lunch and donated baked goods.
5. Friday the 8th— Dirty Soda bar and succulents. “We dig you”
6. Drawing names for gift cards daily, community and parent donated
2. Student Appreciation – We are serving ice cream at end of year: waiting on date for ice cream from principals

1. School Supplies List – Sarah is managing this communication with Patti. Anne will work with company to see if they can provide us free boxes.
