Whether you are a returning family, or brand-new to Leawood Middle School, we are excited for you to join our community!  LMS families have a great tradition of strong support for our students, teachers, staff, and administration.

***ATTENTION 8TH GRADE PARENTS*** 

We’re excited to celebrate our students as they wrap up their time at Leawood Middle School!  Please see the outline below for end of school events and important items we will need from all parents. 

Wednesday, May 20th:

LMS Ceremony (Parents & Students)

• 7:30–7:55 AM: Light breakfast (Commons)
• 8:00–9:00 AM: Farewell ceremony (Gym)
• Suggested student dress: Khakis or nice pants for boys and casual dress or pants for girls.  The school dress code applies.  

8th Grade Outing (Students only)

• 9:15 AM: All 8th grade students will receive t-shirts to change into during flex class
• 9:45 AM: Bus leaves for Tap Ins
• 10:00 AM-2:00 PM: Tap Ins event (includes lunch)
• 2:00 PM: Return to LMS - Ice cream treat before dismissal

Please complete all of the following items by May 1st, 2026:

Google Form - RSVP, T-shirt Sizing & Photo Upload for slideshow (2 per student)

Dues ($35) - (Covers activities, lunch, ice cream and class gift)
