Attendance: Anne Dresie, Jana Mickey, Emma Benezette, Ashley Leuck, Sarah Olson, Kandi Jacobs

 

Anne called the meeting to order at 9:00 AM

 

  1. Approval of Minutes
    1. Motion by Kandi, second by Sarah.  Approved.
  2.  Principal's Update
    1. Lots of flu A and B in the schools; extra cleaning is occurring.  Please don’t send your kids when they are sick / have symptoms!
    2. Winter sports are complete; Wrestling was a big success, boys and girls. 
    3. Many concerts coming up; choir, orchestra, and band. State testing in April.
    4. State testing is in April, it is important to kids to try and get there on those dates when possible.
    5. ENO and Weather -The district has a plan for inclement weather, they will let us know if all activities are cancelled Friday night but don’t anticipate so. We have a basement if needed.
  3.  President's Report -  Anne
    1. Nesting Date to be sent out as Save the Date
    2. Duck Donuts is willing to partner with us, waiting on phone call from owner, can be for teacher appreciation or for students next year
    3. Thanks to those who helped with donuts for students (had 2ish dozen extra and 3-4 boxes for GF—will give to Jen for 8th grade grad, order was confirmed, but was not ready at pick up – Megan B worked her magic and got them to the school on time and with a 30% discount, maybe use duck donuts in future esp if they will donate some or all)
    4. BVN spirit wear reached out about promoting spirit wear to 8th graders (either to parents with 8th grade grad info or on FB) – Anne is going to put the link on the Facebook page / attach to 8th grade communications.

 7.  VP School and Community - Rene

  1. One day outside breakfast is being brought in, waiting on word from Patti as to which day, will change our schedule as needed
    1. Staff Appreciation –Mar last STL (before SB), April CFA breakfast and coffee boxes/cart, May Teacher appreciation daily (pop & popcorn, catus grill *cinco de mayo*, lemonade bar and lemon bars/cookies, jimmy johns, bouquet with flowers/succulents and cookies. Last week of school Candy Bar.
    2. I reminded Angie that she can bring in homemade goods for teachers if she wants to save $$
    3. Student Appreciation – spring plans- leftover smarties for testing time, ice cream at end of year
    4. Nominations – Still looking for several important roles.
