LMS Exec PTO Meeting Minutes

September 4, 2025

Attendance:  Anne Dresie, Jana Mickey, Rene Barton,  Emma Benezette, Jennifer Truman, Sarah Olson, Kandi Jacobs

Anne called the meeting to order at 9:00 AM

1. Approval of Minutes:
   1. Minutes approved

Principal’s Update

• Great participation in student activities – 65% of students participate
• Eagle Ambassadors meeting with the ENO committee to give them feedback
• Conference Schedule – All middle schools are on the same days across the entire district, Wed nights will be open drop in conferences Wednesday nights and Thursday AM. Scheduled conferences will be Thursday afternoon in person, virtually on Thursday evening. – 10/22 and 10/23

President’s Update

• 2025-2026 Budget Voting:
  • Discussed budget line items
    • Student Activities/Appreciation voted and approved as new line item in the budget, set at $2,500. Last year, we had success with these activities. 
      • Rene motioned to approve this new line item and new committee. All approved. 
      • Anne will add this new committee to the bylaws.
    • Rene motioned to approve budget, all approved.
    • Going to ask Patti to add Eagle Fund reminder to next weekly update.
  • Review Counselor needs and how to fund
    • Going to use President’s Discretionary fund for this.
  • Posting budget / meeting minutes / PTO meeting schedule – Secretary and Treasurer will post budget and meeting minutes. 
  • Some people having issues with Membership Toolkit / they can reach out to Corey if they are having issues.
  • Custodian Appreciation Day – Oct 2.
    • Decided on $50 each QT gift card or similar, pizzas for night crew, cover food/snacks for Eagle Fest support.

VP Communications – Emma Benezette

• Eagle Fest - Meeting tomorrow to discuss plans.
• New Family Hospitality ideas

VP Ways and Means – Sarah Olson

• Eagles Night Out
  • Fall – Eagle Ambassador lunch today, theme TBD.
  • Spring – Date TBD
