LMS PTO Exec MInutes

February 6th, 2025

9:00AM

 

Present: Sarah Boeke, Jennifer Truman, Lana Corcoran, Anne Dresie, Sarah Olson, Dana Compagnone, Jen Berndt

Absent: Roseann Morgan (injury)

 

  1. Approval of Minutes – Roseann
    1. Motion to approve, seconded and approved

    1. N/A – were tied up in meetings
  1. President's Report
    1. Wireless speaker arrived
    2. BVN Project Graduation
      1. Hosted at CNP, they rely on donations from feeder school PTOs. LMS had $500 budgeted; Sarah cut and sent them the check
  1. Treasurer Report - Sarah / Jennifer
  1. Financials – on track with all budgets.

  1. VP Communications - Dana C
    1. 8th Grade Farewell
      1. Graduation in the morning, followed by an event at 10 to 1 (busses are booked from 9 to 2)
        1. CNP booked for outing on 5/22
        2. Still working out other details to determine the final cost for families
        3. Gift – gym graphic with year like BVN; Jen to talk with

 VP School and Community - Lana C

    1. Staff Appreciation
      1. Conferences - Italian lunch from Olive Garden         
    2. Nominations
      1. Results from VPs on who is returning?

LMS PTO Board

President: Anne Driese will move up as she was President Elect

President-Elect –

Past Treasurer & Treasurer: Jennifer Truman as planned

Secretary –

VP- Communications: Emma Benezette, past chair of EagleFest, expressed interest in this position. She would love to get more involved.

VP- School & Community: Lana is waiting to hear back from her teams

VP- Ways & Means: Sarah Olson is interested in staying on the board

  • Since Roseanne was out today, Jen will reach out to gauge interest in staying on

Committees under VP – Communications

First Day Festivities: Lauren Johnson and Lauren McMonagle are interested in helping again next year.

Family Ambassador: waiting to hear back

EagleFest: Waiting to hear back (Dana forgot to reach out)

8th Grade Farewell: Jenny Thompson (current chair of Staff Appreciation) has interest in being on this

 

Committees under VP – School & Community

Building & Grounds: Rene Barton is happy to stay or change to another position if needed

Grants: Jennifer Bronson is happy to stay in position next year

Nominations –

Staff Appreciation: Jenny Thompson has done it two years (she trained up under someone else). Wants to be a member of the team to become the chair; she is open to staying on as a member, but not the chair, so she can train up. Jenny will reach out to the current team to gauge their interest

Website Coordinator – Cori Nelson is good to stay on unless someone else wants it.

 

Committees under VP – Ways & Means

Parent Social Fundraiser: Board will vote next meeting on status of this. For now, don’t slate

Restaurant Nights: Austyn Walter and Melanie Vinduska are interested in staying on

School Supplies:

Student Socials (ENO): all the non “graduating” ENO team members are open to staying on. Esme Matzke is interested in Chair again. It sounds like Sarah Olson will reach out to people to backfill

 

General:

Melisa Van Buskirk is interested in a board position or a committee

Jamie Gordon is interested in a committee position, but likely not as chair. Not interested in a board position

Tracy Roushka: Sarah indicated she’d be a good fit for 8th grade graduation 

      1. Jennifer and Erica reached out to the Lauren’s (last year’s committee) – Jen will reach out to have them reach out to 5th grade PTO
      2. Timeline has been communicated: March - before Spring Break confirm who is returning, after Spring Break fill open positions / April - approve nominations to finalize 2025-26 Slate

 VP Ways and Means - Sarah O

    1. Eagles Night Out
      1. 155 RSVP’s
      2. $805 in Donations from 41 donors
      3. Open Volunteer Opportunities: Restroom Monitor, Ping Pong, and one more bball ref. 
        1. PTO VPs were waiting for others to sign up, they will sign up on the form. Ping pong is now full.
      4. Concessions will be $1
    2. Community Fundraisers
      1. Next event - Cane’s 2/27 from 4-9pm
      2. Potentially Cactus Grill in March
