LMS PTO EXECUTIVE BOARD MEETING MINUTES

 

October 13, 2022

 

 

The meeting was called to order at 9:00am.

 

In Attendance:  Laura Yount, Shannon Fisher, Brittney Henderson and Renee Rohle.

 

 

 

  1. Approval of Minutes
        • Renee motioned to approve the minutes from the September, 2022 meeting.  Brittney seconded the motion.  All approved and the motion was passed.

 

  1. President’s Report-Laura Yount
        • Eagles Night Out is 10/28.  The committee will sell raffle tickets at the door for $1 each.
        • PTO needs to create a new “feeder committee” to support all the feeder games sports events with concessions, etc.

 

  1. Treasurer Report-Roseann Morgan
            • Eagle Fund has raised $13,200.  Would like for it to raise $20,000.

 

  1. VP Ways and Means-Gina Cohen
            • Spirit Wear
                • Spirit Wear has made a $200 profit year to date.  They will be holding a Black Friday flash sale to move product.
                • Mr. Richards would like for PTO to use a different vendor next year that will kick back money to the school for uniforms, etc. 
            • Eagle Night Out
                • The theme is Halloween—everything is orange and black.  It is $15/kid and is from 7-9pm.  Payment will be taken online or at the door.  A magician will be added to this years festivities.  The PTO board is encouraged to volunteer.

 

  1. VP School and Community-Shannon Fisher
            • Staff Appreciation
              • November 4th they will provide Topsy’s Popcorn.
              • Holiday gift will be a Starbucks Drink Drop and $30 gift cards.
            • Building & Grounds
            • Katie Hobrock is planting the winter flowers.   Patti Christian has been watering the flowers everyday.  PTO will get her a gift card and card for her help.   
            • Yard signs are kept at Katie’s house if one is needed. 
            • Katie will also re-order some of the stakes that broke off of the giant sign letters.  She will also store these at her house.
        • Grants
            • We will approve grants at our December PTO Board meeting. 

 

  1. VP Communications-Brittney Henderson
            • Eagle Fest
                • Eagle Fest was a huge success.  There was a $400 profit but it is not a fundraiser.  The committee ran out of Smoothie King twice.  Next year they need to order at least 200 smoothies plus more Chick-Fil-A.  The Principal wants the committee to do the MTE vs LES tug-a-war at halftime again next year. 
                  • The new Feeder Committee can help promote this event next year.  They need to make sure the date does not conflict with the BVN HoCo parade. 
            • Family Ambassador
                • Please let Brittney know of any care/concern needs so she can have the committee handle it. 

 

 

Next meeting will be on December 6, 2022 at 9am.  Back-up meeting date is 12/8 if weather is bad.
